This is our best-selling Cava and no surprise, as it is exactly as it should be; single vintage, with a very attractive new label, extended aging and the degorgement date added. This is a really high quality package. The 3 traditional grapes in this cava give great freshness, the long second fermentation adds complexity and no added dosage means it is dry (as the Spanish mostly have it). A consistently high Penin score makes it incredible value at this price. A must for any party occasion. 

CHARACTERISTICS

A brilliant pale yellow colour. Bright fizz with small bubbles. A clean aroma resulting from the combination of ageing (almond) with fresh fruit (apple, grapefruit) and floral aromas (white flowers, anise, country herbs) contributed by the base wine and secondary fermentation. Well balanced in the mouth, dry, light and fresh with a long, persistent finish.

THE WINERY

Jané Ventura is located in the region of Baix Penedès (lower), and consists of two estates at different levels of altitude. The main one where the winery is, is a stunning 15^th century estate surrounded by classic harsh land with calcerous soils, perfect for generating superior wines.  They have been dedicated to the world of wine since 1914 and today the fourth generation, 2 brothers, Albert and Gerard, follow in their great-grandfather's footsteps. Their philosophy with regard to their Cavas, which they have been producing since 1990, is that they should be as natural as possible. This means that their personality should derive from the base wine and the ageing process. Their oenologist, Carles Mitjans, has been with them for over 33 years, and knows every vine and rack in the cellar in order to ensure this.  Their passion and commitment is truly a wonderful thing to experience.
